I'll be the first to admit I didn't think much of the 2023 Houston Texans once the calendar flipped from August to September. I thought C.J. Stroud was just another Ohio State quarterback who racked up his profile by feeding on subpar Big Ten opponents and really had no other thoughts on the team.

Maybe for five minutes over Labor Day weekend, I thought the Dalton Schultz signing was a good one but beyond that nothing. Yet, with a gameplan and patience, DeMeco Ryans has turned the Texans from last year's losers into a potential playoff contender.

Fresh off the bye week the 3-3 Texans travel to Charlotte to take on the Panthers in search of their second two game win streak of the season while going over .500 and keeping pace with the Jaguars in the AFC South. The Panthers are winless and at this point would be grateful to finish as good as the 3-13-1 2022 Texans.

Carolina provides little to no punch on offense and is coming off two games in a row of giving up 40+ points, but those two games to the Dolphins and Lions were on the road. Although still winless, at home the Panthers have played tough in close losses to the Saints (17-20) and the Vikings (13-21). Is this the week Carolina tallies one in the W column or do the revived Texans roll in Charlotte? I'm hoping and playing for the latter.

Let's take a peek at the Texans that make great value plays to round out your Sunday DFS roster.
